Well we are back from Disney World, and I am already missing the Florida weather. Most of the time the temperature was in the 70′s, with it getting as high as 85!! I think the lows were still quite a bit warmer than the highs have been here in Kentucky!!
Everyone had fun, and my 2 year old daughter had a blast. She did so well with the plane ride, the rides, the characters, and everything else. It was so much fun seeing the excitement and happiness in her eyes. When she saw Mickey for the first time it was pure joy all over her face. You couldn’t trade that in for anything in the world!!!
The downside of the trip is that I got sick for a few days. I’ve had a sinus infection twice this year, and it tried to make an appearance for a third time. After trying several different medicines I took some Benadryl. While this did the trick in making me feel better, it also knocked me out cold. I was falling asleep every time I stood still. I tried my best to go on and not put a damper on our vacation.
So all in all, it was a great vacation. It’s one that my wife and I will remember forever, and one that we will be able to re-tell to our daughter when she is older. If you want a little glimpse into all the fun that we had, I have uploaded all our pictures into my gallery. I may get around to getting some video up, but don’t hold your breath
Well, It’s time for our first real family vacation. And what better place to start than Disney World?!? We’ll be flying down on Saturday and staying the entire week. Forecast? Mid to upper 70′s most of the week with only one day having a slight chance of rain!!
I can’t wait to see the reaction from Gwen (she’s 2 now) when we get into the parks and all the Disney characters that she loves are all over the place. She especially loves all the princesses, and in particular Ariel and Cinderella. We’ll be doing a character lunch, camp-fire singalong with Chip and Dale, and even attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. I have a feeling Gwen will have a good time.
I’ve been to Disney World a few times in the past. The last being with Leslie’s family while we were engaged. This will be a completely different experience, though. I won’t be looking at Disney World through my eyes, but instead through the eyes of a 2 year old. I think just watching all the fun she’ll be having will be and experience in and of itself.
So don’t expect any posts for the next week, and check back later for some pics!
So I’ve had this picture from the American Diabetes Association’s Step Out to Fight Diabetes walk on my cell phone for a while, and never got around to uploading it. Well, here it is. Again thanks to all those who donated!!!
Well, I finally got around to getting a new theme for the website. There are still a few kinks to work out, and I may try to customize it a little more…but for now enjoy it for what it is. I think it’s a big improvement over the last theme. So….enjoy!!
