Well, Belle made an escape from the backyard today. Actually, her lead broke where it anchors into the ground. Fortunately, she only made it about 200 yards and a neighbor caught her and called the animal clinic who in turn contacted me. She didn’t seem to mind one bit about being gone. There were a bunch of kids giving her a ton of attention, and she was loving every minute of it. She must have worn her self out though, because she just flopped down on the floor and fell asleep within minutes of being back home.
We went down to the Highland Renaissance Festival…aka the Kentucky Renaissance Festival today (technically yesterday, as it’s half an hour past midnight). Last year we went on opening day of the first year it had existed. They had a lot of work to do, as they weren’t finished building the village yet. This year, however, they had everything done…and it was a lot of fun. The best part for me were the three guys from Ireland that played music at the “pub”. They were fantastic!! The second best part was Doktor Kaboom. You may know him as Chunky from Theatre in the Ground. They do the mud show at the Ohio Renaissance Festival. I don’t care what his character is, he is a funny guy!
Don’t know if you’ve heard, but Kroger has a new type of milk that helps reduce your cholesterol level. It’s called Active Lifestyle Milk. It has plant sterols that have been proven by the FDA to help lower cholesterol levels. We’ve been using it for a couple weeks now. I’m hoping it helps, because my cholesterol levels have been a little high. Definitely a good alternative to taking medicine everyday!
