Usually these quizzes are off a little, but I think this one did a pretty good job.
Some of you may of heard about the monster of a wild boar that has been dubbed Hogzilla. This was a boar thought to weigh about 800 pounds. Well, now an even bigger one has been killed in Alabama. It’s being dubbed Hogzilla II. This wild boar was over 9 feet long and weighed over 1,000 pounds. Talk about plenty of meat. Mmm….bacon!!
** UPDATE ** Turns out this story may be a little bit of a hoax. Yes, it’s still a big hog, but the family may have used some trick photography to make the pig look bigger than it really is. Check out the story here

OK, the past couple weeks at work I have realized that I have a new huge pet peeve. If this applies to you, please take note. My new pet peeve…people talking on cell phones in the bathroom. The last thing I want to hear while I’m trying to take the Browns to the Super Bowl is somebody talking to their wife or trying to set up a business meeting. Or even just standing at the urinal. How disturbing!! I’ve made it a point that when someone is doing this I will intentionally see how many times I can flush the toilet before they get off the phone. I think I’m going to buy me one of those pocket fart machines so the next time it happens I can just start cutting loose the noises. That should make for an interesting phone call. That’s all I got. I know it’s disgusting, so thanks for reading!
Happy Mother’s Day to Leslie!! This was her first Mother’s Day as a mommy. All I have to say is that Gwen is lucky to have a mommy as wonderful as Leslie, and I’m lucky to have a wife as wonderful as her too!!
I did it…I finished my first 5k in over 7 years! The time wasn’t that great. I finished unofficially in 31:10. My real time should be a few seconds better. I didn’t reach my under 30 minutes goal, but I was close. I had some really bad pain in my shins again. I think I really need to get new shoes!! I also forgot what a feeling the end of the race is. When you see the finish line the adrenaline just starts pumping. My head cleared up, I could breathe easier, and the pain in my legs went away. Ah, what a rush! Hopefully I’ll have some more 5k’s in my future. I really need to find time in my schedule to get out and run more. But for now, it’s time for gameage!
Wow, I’ve been so busy lately that my website has really taken a backseat to everything else going on. Leslie and I went to Indy this past week in for a much needed mini-vacation. It was really nice to get away and just relax. My parents came up and watched Gwen for the weekend. While I was glad to get away, I have to say I missed little-bit the whole time.
Saturday is the Flying Pig 5k, the Kentucky Derby, and Cinco de Mayo. Man, I am not ready for the race! I haven’t had any time to really train for the 5k. I do plan on pushing myself as much as possible. My goal is a sub 30-minute race. Maybe once I finish up our back yard I’ll have a little more time to get out and run. I’d like to run at least 3 times a week, but that probably won’t happen anytime soon.
