Just got done watching the movie The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and I have to say that I am more than a little dissappointed (sorry Chris). The movie had some funny moments, but that was about it. Now, lets talk about what I didn’t like.
First off, throughout the whole movie they are searching for the answer to life only to find out there is no purpose. Well, there is a purpose to life. All Christians know this. The movie has the theme of “life seem pointless, but as long as we are happy then who cares”. Life is really depressing if you look at it like that.
Second, and probably my biggest gripe, is I feel it took some cheap shots at Christianity. At one point the Guide to the Galaxy said that God made a mistake in making man, then made a mistake in making woman, and then said “who is this God anyway?”. This was done in a “comical” way so that people wouldn’t take offense to it so much, but I did. The movie also starts off by saying that we evolved over time. Then it turns around and says that we were created, but not by one “being”. Interesting that the movie contradicts itself, and both of them are offensive.
Third, it also took a cheap shot at George Bush. The “president of the galaxy” is a nit-wit with only half a brain. He said that having half a brain is a requirement for the job. He also sounded a lot like President Bush. I thought it was just me, but after the movie Leslie also said she felt the same way. I guess I’m tired of everyone making fun of him just because he sticks with his guns and his faith, and then those same people turning around and saying there was nothing wrong with Clinton cheating on his wife and lying in front of a court. President Bush is not stupid. If he was, he wouldn’t have his master’s degree and be the President of the United States.
OK, that’s all I can think of. I would definitely recommend NOT seeing this movie. Man I can’t wait until The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe comes out.
Well, because Chris kept whining that he had to type in his information every time he posted something (just kidding Chris), I finally got my website to remember information. Now, after you post a comment on my website, the information will be remembered and automatically come up the next time you go to comment. All you have to do is allow cookies from my site.
Ok, I’ve been tagged by Chris. So here we go:

Well, NKU’s softball team has set a NCAA Division II record for the longest winning streak. The record was previously held by Kennesaw State University at 40 games. NKU won two games breaking the record, and they haven’t shown a sign of slowing down. Hopefully, NKU will cap their winning streak with a national championship!! Here’s the article on their record-breaking streak:
Well, I actually went golfing for the first time in my life today. I went with Gretta and Troy from work. Someone should let people know that golfing is a workout. My arms are sore right now! I think I did pretty good for my first time out. I parred the 14th hole (actually the fifth one we played, since we only played the back 9). I really enjoyed playing, so if anyone wants to go play a few rounds let me know.
Can you imagine the shock that a repo man would have if he found a two-year old girl in a vehicle he repo’d? Well, if you haven’t heard, it happened. The repo man took the truck when the parents got out and went into a gas station, leaving the two-year old in the back seat of the truck sleeping. The repo man jumped in using another set of keys and took the truck. Now get this, when the guy called 911 to report his truck had been stolen, he didn’t even mention his daughter was in the truck. They figured it out when the repo man called the police to report they had repo’d the truck. The police found 3 guns and a stolen license plate in the truck. What’s interesting is that the father faces child endangerment and weapons charges, and the mother doesn’t. Also, the repo company isn’t facing any charges.
Well, Microsoft followed through on a statement that was reported earlier in the year. It was reported that Microsoft was going to allow people who have a 64-bit compatible PC to upgrade their version of Windows from XP to XP 64 by just an exchange, instead of having to purchase the new OS. Many people thought this was just a rumor flying around, but it turns out its true. The new OS shipped out today, and Microsft has updated their website with all the new information. Check it out:
I’m sure everybody that comes to my website knows that I think Answers in Genesis is a great organization. If you know anything about AiG, you know who Ken Ham is. If you don’t, then you really need to check out their website. Anyway, Ken Ham now has a blog. Here’s the link:
I’m just curious about something. I’m curious about how many people use aggregators to subscribe to my rss feed, and which one is used the most often. Help me out with this one. If you use an aggregator to get my rss feed, say so in my comments and let me know which one you use. Thanks.
Well, it’s the first game of the year for me. I’m headin’ off to the Reds game with Tim in a few minutes. They’ll probably lose since I’m there! I really would have like to have been there last night when Wily Mo hit that 498 ft homer. Personally, I think it went further than that. I think it was about the same as Dunn’s blast last year that made it to the river. Anyway, Tim’s here so I’m out.
