Usually, if you can get one form of Internet access, you can get the other. I use Zoomtown for my internet access, which is DSL. I’ve heard a few people complain about Zoomtown’s services, and they decided to switch to cable (I should say that I haven’t had any problems at all). That made me start thinking……which is better, cable or DSL. I did a little research and the answer suprised me. There is no clear cut winner! It all depends on the provider and where you live. For instance, the closer you live to a DSL access point (usually, you have to be within 3 miles of one to get DSL), the faster it is. As for the provider, some providers put caps on how fast the download or upload speed can be. This is especially true for cable. Since cable uses a shared bandwidth (the speed of you internet is divided up between the people in your community), the company will usually put caps on speeds. Most of the time, this is on upload speeds. Example….Zoomtown’s upload speed is around 5 times faster than Insight’s (cable). Most people don’t upload things to the internet, though. This being the case, cable is faster at downloading, unless you live in a community that a lot of people are using cable internet. Price also varies depending on the provider. Some providers give discounts when you use more services with them. So, if you have a satellite, it may be cheaper to go through the phone company and get DSL. Final analysis….if you are thinking about broadband internet, look into both DSL and cable. Don’t think that one is better than the other. Figure out what you will be using it for, and also think about the size of the community you live in. Find out how close the closest DSL access point is. Determine which is best for you. And remember, either one is better than dial-up!

Well, it looks like someone from Circuit City really didn’t like my post about John Kerry. If you happened to see the comment before I deleted it, I apologize. Normally I won’t remove any comment added to my site, but when the person posting it will not say who they are and includes obscenity, then it will not stay up. I know this person is from Circuit City because I checked the IP logged from that post on the WhoIs database. They need to understand that I know when and where they posted from. If I really wanted to know who they are, I could find out. If you disagree with my comments, then let me know. But do not use profanity on my website!

So, how much do you remember from your high school math and science classes? If you want to test your knowledge, click on the link below. It took me a few tries to get to get to the million dollar mark. My final score was 2,108,000. Let me know how you did.

I know the title is cheesy, but that’s beside the point. The point is that John Kerry isn’t the war hero that he claims to be. He has been showing his war buddies who support his stories along the campaign. The problem is that they are only a few of the men who served their country in Vietnam with John Kerry. The rest of these men dispute what he says and tell that he lied to get his purple hearts. When I say the rest of the men, I mean 250 people! So, have I got your attention? I saw the story on The 700 Club, which is a Christian news program that comes on late at night. I have a link to the report that I saw, and also to the website of the war vets that claim Kerry is lying. Also note, that these men are paying for the commercials and website themselves. This is in no way endorsed by George Bush. They realized that something needed to be done, and they are doing something. I have the report taped. If you want to borrow it just let me know. (you qualifies as people I know personally and see on a regular basis…..that means I’m not going to ship it across the country!) This is something that every American needs to know before they go and vote. They need to realize that John Kerry got to leave Vietnam after four months because of his three Purple Hearts, while his Band of Brothers were left behind to serve their full time in Vietnam. That makes for some good incentive to get the Purple Hearts, huh?

So, if you were a character from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which character would you be? I turned out to be the Black Knight. It’s very fitting for me. If I start something, I have to finish it. So, which character are you?

I’ve noticed that my website has been increasing in the amount of traffic that visits, but the number of comments on each of my journal entries remains very low. So, I was wondering if anybody had any ideas to improve on this. If you have an idea on how my website would be better other than the journal entries, please feel free to comment too. I have put a lot of time and effort into making this site, and there are still many things that I want to do with it. If you have an idea for improvement, please let me know. I will try my best to improve however possible.
