Wow, I just finished watching a spectacular game in which Kentucky defeated LSU…and yes, it was football. I’m just curious…after Kentucky lost a game to South Carolina last week and analysts said that UK just wasn’t ready for the prime time, what will they say now? I must admit, I almost had a heart attack watching this game. Not because it was so close or that it came down to a 4th down play in the 3rd overtime, but that my DVR stopped recording right after Kentucky got the stop on LSU on 3rd down in the 3rd OT.
You see, Leslie and I took Gwen to the Ohio Renaissance Festival today. I set my DVR to record the game, because I HAD to watch this game. Oh, by the way…it was a wonderful day to be at the renaissance festival. Gwen had a good time and the weather was great! I’ll post some pictures up later. Now, back to business.
While watching the recorded game, I was taking every opportunity to fast forward or skip commercials. In the middle of the game, I got a text message. I didn’t recognize the number, and I was not going to chance reading it and revealing something that had already happened. Leslie seemed to want me to check it, but I wasn’t gonna until the game was over. In the 4th quarter I got another text message from the same number. Now my blood was pumping. Still, I wasn’t gonna answer. Then, in the 1st OT, it said I had a voice message. Funny, because my phone never rang…but I refused to answer. Then in the 3rd OT, with my blood a pumpin’ and my hands a shakin’ as LSU was about to be faced with a 4th down and the game on the line, the recording on my DVR stopped. No more. No finish. Needless to say, I made it down to my PC in no time flat. Then I checked the score to see UK had won. And now, I’m happy…but still upset at my DVR!
I said all that to get to this…

Guess who turns 1 year old today? Yep, it’s Gwen’s first birthday. She’s already had two parties and has a third one coming up this weekend. She’s about got the cake eating down! It’s hard to believe it’s already been a year since she was born. She’s growing up so fast. She’s starting to stand on her own, and it won’t be long before she’s walking. I’ve added new pictures in my gallery from her two birthday parties, so you should go check them out.
I’ve posted some new pictures of little bit. They are in 2 different galleries. You can find them here or here.
Yep, this will be pretty much a constant thing for a while. Just go to the gallery and check for albums that have “new” or “updated” under the highlight picture. To make things a little easier for ya…I added a new album for Gwen, added more pics under her “November 2006″ album, and added a “Thanksgiving 2006″ gallery!

I’m sure all of you have been waiting for more pictures of Gwen. Well, the wait is over. I’ve posted more pictues in my gallery. Enjoy!

Sorry to inform everybody, but the open-house is cancelled. Leslie and I had a change of plans and are driving down to London so my family can meet Gwen. The open-house is being rescheduled to Friday the 27th between 6 and 10pm. I sent out another email to everyone.
and meet baby Gwen. The “open-house” I promised is happening this Friday. Feel free to stop in between 5 and 10pm to meet Gwen. Check your emails, because I sent out a notice with directions to everybody I had an email for. If you didn’t get an email and want directions, just leave me a comment and I can get your email from there.
We are back home from the hospital. Everybody is doing good. Leslie’s still a little sore, but getting around on her own. I’ve added more pictures in my gallery, including the baby showers. All of the new pictures I uploaded are full size, so if you want to print one out you can click on the link in the upper-right hand corner to view the full-sized picture. Hopefully I will get around to doing that with all my pictures. Also, I think we are going to have an open-house type deal soon at Leslie’s parents house so people can come visit Gwen. I’ll let everyone know when that is.
Gwen has arrived. She was born at 1:26 am today. She is 20.5 inches long and weighs 7 pounds 3.7 ounces, and has a head full of brown hair! Both mom and the baby are doing fine, but we’ll be in the hospital for a few days because she was delivered by c-section. I’ve got some pictures up in my gallery and more to come:
